If the managers of rural telephone companies were doctors
they would be the general practitioners and their city cousins
would the "specialists" with the luxury of studying
just one field. Frequently an employee in a rural telephone
company has to master the skills that span several departments.
That's why we developed the Rural America curriculum from
the ground up just for these versatile rural telco people.
The Rural America curriculum goes beyond
the technologies and includes how to plan and provision, market
and manage in a rural independent territory. Because our students
need to implement what they learn we provide labs, demonstrations,
workshops, and business cases from companies like theirs.
